Do you think it is okay for tech giants to be as powerful as they are?

Companies like Google, Apple, Facebook or Amazon have power over billions of people's personal information. This can go from contact lists, phone numbers, passwords, people's location in real time, financial information, private messages, and so on.

They say that our data is safe with them and that we have 100% control over it, but there is no way for us to be sure.

Do you think it is okay for them to be legally able to store all this information? Do you think they should be more regulated? Or do you think that things are good as they are?

Companies in question are not forcing us to use their services. Think of the positive side and benefits of the services they are providing, Google maps is one big example and don't forget about Whats App which had made texting and calling totally free. Enjoy the fruit, don't count the trees ;) and live happily.

I think they deserve the title "Powerful" because that is what they really are. They make the things we enjoy using today like for example doing research for our studies, buying stuff online for us to enjoy, watching our favorite movie or listening to our favorite music. They change the way we live our lives and influenced us on how we perceive things. We got educated and well-informed because of the tools they provided for free.
