How many of you actually wear a seat belt? For me, it's a habit. After I start the car, before I get it into the gear, I put on my seat belt.

Some people think that wearing a seat belt is stupid, unnecessary and uncomfortable. Many of them don't realize that during a emergency stop or a crash, passengers that aren't wearing a seat belt become projectiles. Another reason is if the car starts rolling over, you'll be in your seat firmly and you won't be bouncing inside the car. There were cases where passengers were catapulted through window.

I would highly recommend wearing a seatbelt. Not only because it may save our lives in any accident that may occur while driving. I think that the law for strictly wearing a seatbelt should be fully implemented at all times to discipline drivers and as well passengers. Everyone should be aware of the risks from not wearing a seatbelt.

For many people, this is their excuse. "It's uncomfortable, I'm only going around the corner", I'd rather be thrown out of a car than be stuck in a seatbelt," and my favorite, "I'm a good driver I don't need to wear one." It does not matter how good of a driver you are. There are situations beyond your control such as bad weather, road conditions and not to mention other drivers that can affect your safety. Seat belts can mean the difference between life and death in an auto accident. Wearing a seat belt every time you enter a vehicle is not only the smart thing to do it is the right thing because it saves lives, it's the law and it will save you money.
Cars can be replaced. Every material thing on earth can be replaced. The only thing that cannot be replaced is your life. Seatbelts can help to save lives. They are important safety features that, like air bags, help to protect a driver or passenger in a collision and minimize injuries. Those who do not wear their seatbelts while in a vehicle put themselves at greater risk of severe injury or even death. In addition to this higher injury risk, not wearing a seatbelt could also hurt your insurance claim should you be involved in an accident. Seat belts are there to protect life. It is very necessary and I hope we practice everyday what we preach. When ever we are on the road always wear your seatbelts. Always buckle up for it is the safest way to travel.

Dude what I can say is "If you want to live more and love your life wear this stupid device that will save you in an unimaginable accident"! It so very annoying when you seat on your car and keeps beeping and will add as a distraction on your driving activity. Imagine driving in a ton and suddenly stop what happened to you without wearing this seatbelt, believe me, you will die instantly!

It's the same for me. It's a habit for me and has been ever since I was a little kid. However, there is a perfectly good reason why it became a habit. When I was around 8 years old I got into a car accident with my mother and I didn't have my seatbelt on. I flew right through the window as the airbag hadn't activated yet (it was an old car as well). Luckily, I only got a minor concussion, however, since then I've always been very careful about always putting my seatbelt on.

Wearing a seat belt is a must especially when you are going out for a drive. There are a lot of reckless drivers on the road, even if we admit it or not. That's why everyone must wear their seat belts for safety precautions. Not only the reckless drivers could bring the drivers' and passengers' lives into danger. Sometimes, the drivers' lack of focus could also result to having to face a road accident. Accidents, are really inevitable when you are on the road. That's why it is important to wear a seat belt.

When I am driving my car, whether a long or short drive (doesn't matter) I see to it that I am always secured with seat belt and I always require my passenger inside the car to wear seat belt as well. Especially, most of the time, my passengers are my family members. We cannot predict the accident along the way. So, it is better to be prepared than not at all. When we go around the globe, we see statistics that there are a lot of person died in an accident who are not wearing seat belt than those who wear seat belt. It is our safety and it is under the law. It is better to follow the rules and regulations than to violate. "Safety first" must be our golden rule!

Back then when i didn't really fastened my car seat belt that often, i don't know why maybe because i thought by doing so i feel like manly but nowadays i always wear seat belt even before starting my car engine. Car nowadays have built in warning or alert sistem telling drivers or passengers to wear their seat belt or the alert/sound won't go away. In worst case scenario, during accidents or impact, the person who don't wear seat belt would get thrown away from the car even if the car was not going that fast before impact. I've seen people get thrown away up in the air and sometimes rip arms apart just because not fastening seat belt. You can search videos in Youtube about the effect of not wearing seat belt and it's scary!

I dealt with vehicular accidents as a total loss specialist for 2 years and ha e come to the conclusion that yhere is a 50% chance the seatbelt will save you. And then there is a 50% chance that it will do more harm than good. An explorer rolled 5 times, holding two sleeping children in place and leaving them with only a scrape and a small bruise. However, a teen was knocked into 4 different vehicles and died two weeks later because the damage to her brain, after being held in place, was too much. It honestly depends on which memory haunts me more that day when I decide on my own.

Wearing a seat belt is the simplest thing you can do to save your life before even starting your car. It's a simple thing but the benefit it brings is huge. Life is important, do not take wearing seat belt for granted. Seat belt are not present in our cars just to be a design but to be a life saver. According to studies, among drivers and front-seat passengers, seat belts reduce the risk of death by 45%, and cut the risk of serious injury by 50%. Seat belts prevent drivers and passengers from being ejected during a crash. People not wearing a seat belt are 30 times more likely to be ejected from a vehicle during a crash. So next time you ride your car, put on your seat belt first before anything else.

It is of great importance to wear a seatbelt. Just by havin it one greatly reduces the chance of death and injuries to do the impact against your car. And legally speaking, you have to have it on when you drive which is why it is more than enough reason to pull you over when you do not have it on.

Well as a student and as a driver, I highly recommend wearing seatbelt while driving, because in terms of safety while driving it is the number one rule or base that we must act/do. Lets put it on practical, We all living people can't control our daily event including our safety but in order to hamper accidents in our life we must implement rules and regulations that must be done. Always remember rules and regulations can prevent your life from accidents :)

Seatbealts simply save lives. It is important whenever checking out the specifications of any vehicle which you plan on purchasing if it is equiped with the proper safety features. Some people feel seatbelts are a hindrance to thier driving sensitivity, but a little discomfort is worth it rather than becoming victims to accidents that we dont' have any control with. Atleast it could lessen any percentage of injury that might occur.

Safe practice of engaging seatbelts will always be our first step whenever riding any vehicle that we encounter. Before even turing the engine on, it is the role of the driver to remind all of his passengers to fasten their seatbelts and be ready for the ride. This practice should also be standard most especially when there are babies or children in need of assistance inside the vehicle, they should be the priority in checking if thier safety mechanisms are engaged properly.

The saying goes that "it's better to be safe than sorry", I believe this should be imprinted in the mind of every competent driver. Some people don't realize it, but drivers have the biggest responsibilities in keeping thier passengers safe, simply be reminding them to ride properly and seatbelts fastened safely. Riding with seatbelts engaged, is a practice that would assure us of safe travel to any destination.

The importance of seat belts can never be overemphasized. In fact, I daresay that it is as important as the food we eat. This is because, seat belts affect our lives in no small measure. Nobody needs to be begged to safeguard their lives.
Here in Nigeria, most of the road users do not believe in the safety which a seat belt provides. Everyday of our lives, we have heard and seen the importance of wearing seat belt but yet, we don't put much faith in it. A typical Nigerian road user would rather trust in his Pastor's prayers for journey mercies than trust in a seat belt. When it concerns safety, we take it with pinch of salt.
Seat belts saves. It should be a habit for anyone who values their safety. It should be the first thing one should do even before starting the ignition. Overtime, we have seen instances where fatality could have been avoided if seat belts had been used by the victim.Personally, I have been in a situation that could have been disastrous if I hadn't been on seat belt.

I find it absolutely insane that people actually get into a car and *don't* put on their seatbelt. People who say that a seat belt feels uncomfortable for them are honestly beyond me, I don't even notice the seat belt when I have it on.

Besides, isn't being a little uncomfortable better than being dead?

Putting on seatbelt is absolutely very first thing that people should do when they got in the car. When I say absolutely I mean it. Even before starting enginc! It is so many times proved that it has saved so many lifes in accidents.
In my opinion driving without seatbelt is very risky!

I've never driven or even ridden in a car without wearing one in my 32 years of existence . Life is precious, you should always be be safe and not sorry. If you encounter a car crash and you're not wearing a seat belt, you could fly and hit the windshield or a seat, or someone else. Wearing a seat belt is a big factor when it comes to your chances of surviving a car accident and reducing the severity injuries. Most collision victims survive their ordeal as a result of being restrained in their seats. Therefor, drivers and passengers should understand the fatal consequences of not wearing a seat belt.

Following safety tips is better than regreting in the end. Using seat belts whether you are a professional or student driver is a must. Accidents do happen anytime. If you want to live long then be an obedient driver and passenger. Don't forget to pray for safety before going anywhere. :)

Not wearing a seat belt is somewhat like being naked while driving! It felt like I'm not protected while driving and also in reminds me to become more aware and be careful in driving. And I found out that wearing a seat belt improves my posture while driving because it reminds me to sit properly. That is why seat belt not only saves your life, it also saves your back. :)

It's so ingrained in me by now that I literally never think about it at all, I buckle up before I put the key in the ignition. Safety is paramount for all drivers, and the people I have seen seriously injured by not buckling up only emphasizes this for me. I have friends who don't always wear a seat belt and it always amazes and concerns me no end. Every driver should wear a seat belt, and when I am driving, everyone in my car wears one. I believe every driver should have a similar policy.

I have always Worn my seat belt it's the smart and safe thing to do here are a few facts about safety of seatbelts.
Vehicle accidents are the number one cause of death for individuals as young as five and as old as 34. Aside from the fatalities, many people suffer serious injuries as a result of the incidents. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, seat belts reduce the risk of death in vehicle accidents by around 50%. Safe defensive driving tips, like encouraging drivers to put on a seat belt, have the ability to protect drivers and passengers.

By keeping a person in place, the seat belt prevents ejection from the vehicle. Because of the security of the belt, it also prevents the body from being jarred during a sudden stop or collision. Seat belts do not prevent a person from moving altogether, however they do ensure that a person’s body does not come into contact with the dash and that the body remains in the same general area of the vehicle. The strongest part of the body is restrained and the impact of the crash is spread out over a wider area, including the shoulders and torso. With a seatbelt on, it is possible to slow down the body and protect the spinal cord as well as the brain.

Adults are not the only individuals to benefit from seat belts. From birth, a child should be in a rear-facing safety seat. Once a child has reached the age of one, he or she can move to front-facing car seat and should remain there until the age of four and a weight of 40 pounds. Then, a child moves to a booster seat until he or she reaches the height of 4’9”, around the age of 8. It is important that children be seated in a way to maximize the effectiveness of the belt. Children must be a certain height in order to be able to utilize the seat belt correctly and, up until the age of 13, children should be kept in the back seat while a vehicle is operating I know a few friends who would not ware the seatbelt and we'e in a accident and they got thrown out of the car and was killed so be smart buckle upand be safe.
