Once upon a time in a land far away there lived a very rich man. He had many businesses and everything that he touched turned to gold. He was a good man and he helped many people along the way, because he could not stand the sight of anyone suffering. As he grew older he started to feel lonely. All his life he was so busy, building up his empire, that he forgot to live his life. He now had all these successful businesses, and all the money in the world, but he had no one to share it with.

He did not know where to start, so he hired a team of experts with specific specifications to find him the perfect wife. It was not long before they made up a shortlist. He was terribly excited so he set up interviews with the best candidates... BUT he was disappointed with most of these women. None of them was as perfect as he wanted them to be.

He soon became very depressed. He was so used to getting everything he wanted, that he could not understand why he couldn't find the right woman. He became so focused on finding the right wife, that he lost focus on the rest of his life. His businesses began to suffer, and he started to lose money.

It wasn't long before he lost all his money and his businesses. He even lost his house and everything that he worked so hard for throughout his lifetime. He had to go live in a shelter.

He became a miserable grumpy old man, and died as a lonely, poor man. No one even cared enough to go to his funeral.

Yes thats true because, when the researchers compared survey responses of the highest earners to those of the lowest, they found a significant difference: Wealthier people experienced more contentment, pride and amusement, while poorer people reported more love, compassion and being more awed by the world around them. Both groups experienced enthusiasm at the same levels.

    • Yes, money can buy some things that give happiness, but not all. The happiness that money can give you, is just temporal. However we should be practical. As Solomon says in the Book of Ecclesiastes, "money can answer some material needs, " somehow money partly gives you happiness. There are more essential things than the basic needs we have. Most of these non-material needs could never be met by money alone. Happiness connotes satisfaction. And satisfaction is dependent on many things, most of which also involve emotional. mental, and spiritual conditions. Hence, money should not be your source of happiness. It can buy you a bed but not sound sleep. It can buy you food that can satisfy your physical hunger but it cannot fill the emptiness in your soul. It can give you temporary pleasure but not that deep-seated joy that can give you peace of mind and satisfaction.

Money alone can't buy happiness. It can buy material things. The only question is, what is the purpose of you working hard for the money. You just need a purpose. And after you figure it out, then it is the only time that you can say that money can indeed buy you happiness. You reap what you sow. For example, I plant rice on our farm. The main purpose is to provide jobs for my poor tenants. Second, to have a stock of rice that we consume for a year. Third, to earn money to buy food and family necessities. If at the end you gain all that, then it will make you happy.

It's the truth. Money gives some protection. But it couldn't give true love and happiness. In proverbs say: "The wealth of the rich is his fortified city; it is like a protective wall in his imagination". Only in his imagination! Happy is a person who trusts in the Creator.

Money might not be able to give us happiness explicitly but it can guarantee as a more comfortable life, give us the things that we want, enable us to explore the world, and connect us the the world. It gives as a sense pf security and for me it leads to happiness. You do not need money to be happy, but it certainly can make you happy.

Indeed. You can be happy even without money, especially those people who are contended with their simple life. Although having a lot of money means you can have every material things you want, that doesn't mean you will become happy after having those. As a matter of fact, not all wealthy people are happy.

It is often said that money can't get happiness, or the wealth will get happiness, or the wealth can't make you happy. They put it some other ways, but they are completely evil. Wealth does and will make people feeling, and I'll be arguing that wealth is a tremendous source of happiness. Round one is for approval but. >> wealth or currency is only pieces of material with something published on it.. How do you believe be source of feeling. `` feeling is a psychological state of well-being characterized by positive emotions ranging from Happiness to extreme emotion. '' (1.^ Wordnet 3.0; http: //www.google.com ...) asking that `` feeling this within this scope of `` happiness '' to `` extreme emotion. '' Every single matters in this world which brings happiness or pleasure costs money, must be purchased, and Thus, it is wealth which brings happiness. None of these things will be taken without wealth being spent either by the individual experiencing the feeling, or by others spending money so that they will be pleased.
