Perhaps, I am one of the few people who can stand the whole day without music, even though I love man-made music very much. To me, sweeter than the music made by men is the one made by Nature - the chirping of birds, the rustling of the leaves when the wind blows, the soft, muffled conglomerated shrieking of all small creatures [if you tune in to the stillness of the world around you, you can hear it] that sound LIFE. Sometimes, it is better for me to work without any distractions at all. But then, I can also work with music as long as it is the type that does not irritate, especially with lyrics that are wholesome.

I prefer to listen to music when I have the time because sometimes when I'm working, I can no longer focus. Sometimes music can disrupt your momentum and those times makes you appreciate silence so much that it's unrealistic to think about it-but it does happen. I prefer listening to music when I'm going home from a 2-hour commute or when I'm drawing and creating art. I also listen to music when I'm working out and when I'm doing chores. Music is very helpful for me because it helps me measure the time(one song is about 3-4 minutes) and it helps brighten my mood specially when I'm starting the day.

I never tried listening to a music all day, most of the times I have to focus things in life. I have to prior responsibilities that I must do like for a living and I spend time with the family. It is really nice though to have a nice background music while working but it sometimes destroy your focus.

I can listen to music all day long especially when I am doing something that does not require much concentration.
I normally turn on the music all day long during weekends like Saturdays. It feels awesome to listen to music for example when washing clothes.
Music in the morning to wake me up, music in the afternoon to lighten the day up and music in the evening to end the day in style.

I listen to music every single day. Music takes a huge part of my life. I listen to music after I wake up in the morning. I even play music when I am cooking for my breakfast, when I'm eating, even when I am taking a bath or doing the laundry.

Music really helps me to feel motivated.
  9. Most of the time because it comfirts and heals though silence and meditation have it's own rewards

The only time I'm not listening to music it's when I'm studying because that really distracts me, but I listen to music when I'm doing anything else, like working around the house, playing video games, etc. I also don't play music when I'm trying to fall asleep as some people do, that doesn't really help me.

Yes for me especially when I'm working. It helps me to focus on what I'm doing. It also helps me relax and think about happy thoughts. But of course, it depends on what kind of songs I'm going to listen to. If it's too loud, it'll probably annoys and distract me instead of helping me with my concentration.

Yeah, I am enjoying music every day. Listening to music in stressed times helps me to reduce my tension and pressure.
I also listen to music while studying and working too. It helps me to increase my concentration and focus. In some cases, I have found that music helps me with memorization, likely by creating a positive mood, which indirectly boosts memory formation.

Listening to background music while the study improves my focus and mood. I also listen to my favorite music playlist in the morning that keeps me motivated and reduces my anxiety.

My day start and end with good music. It makes feel relax and focus on things am doing. I make sure it doesn't sound so loud, I get irritated hearing loud music even if I like the music but when its played on that aspect I definitely hate it. Good music gives me good vibes the whole day, makes me groove to the beat. I'm more on the beat and rhythm of the music, I usually don't mind the lyrics. I love music and somehow it's very fun to hear than gossips.

Depends, When ever I have some work to do, I tend to listen to music a lot, it helps to make me focus on what I do.
It gets me "In the Zone" as they say. but some days it just feels off.

Yes, but be careful not to damage your ear or hearing. I only do this with classical music or jazz. I have good hearing and I take care of my ear, so I put the sound the minimum where I can still hear it. After some minutes, my hearing will adjust to the volume so I'd lower again the volume. It may be a good idea to switch between earphones and speaker from time to time.

Tried to do this even when sleeping. I couldn't sleep though if I know the piece/song, so I'd suggest to use a song/piece you don't know when trying this or when doing something that needs your focus.

Being a musician and and audio engineer, I have a love-hate relationship to the seemingly benign activity of listening to music all day long - the balancing act of the pleasures of listening to high-fidelity music to permanent hearing loss is always on my mind. As an audio specialist, I am aware of the consequences of listening to loud music or simply on headphones, though I'm not sure how many of us actually worry about that. Hearing loss has a subtle quality that isn't easy to perceive.

Listening music all day is tiring, I believe it can be bad for your health, but for a few hours I believe it is not bad.

I don't think listening music all day long is a great idea, music can influence your brain, both good and bad way. Music surely a good thing, but just like many good thing, it's not the more the better.
