A book that changed my life is "Where the Red Fern Grows." For those who are unfamiliar, the book focuses on a boy who works hard to buy two hunting dogs, initially puppies. It continues with his training and raising the dogs to go hunting. It follows him and his dogs through several of their adventures including various precarious hunting trips and a close encounter with a homicidal bully. Fair warning, this book has several very sad parts. I read this book really early in life, around 9 or 10, and through the writing, I had my first experience dealing with the emotions of loss. For me, this book was a formative experience I can look back on all these years later fondly. Just writing this made me want to pick up the book again! So, how about it what book changed your life?
