Cryptocurrencies put the power back into our hands. I can't say they're a "good" or "bad" investment, because the market is indeed volatile. I only invested what I could afford to lose; I didn't lose anything after the price of BTC dropped because I traded it in an exchange, though it's a gamble. I bought them because I wanted a small amount of my savings to be stored away from centralized banks and I don't regret it. Crypto will probably always be more volatile than major national currencies, and maybe it's better this way. Blockchain technology is amazing, and it's being put to use in so many other ways than only currencies. Many of the new crypto coins are start-up companies integrating their finances with their own products, which opens up entire new ways to run businesses without depending on biased credit industries and the stock market.
